Zlotnik will be opening the Dharma Bum Temple, a (soon to be 501(c)3)
NPO founded to Promote the Study and Practice of Buddhism in America
and to Cultivate Wisdom and Compassion for the Benefit of all Sentient
Beings. The Dharma Bum Temple will temporarily be holding Meditation, Buddhism Classes, and Sutra Studies at the old Dharma Bum Center, while we look for a larger space in South Park… We are planning to host an Open House Sunday September 14th, 2008 from 10am-6pm, so please join us and learn more about the exciting future of the Dharma Bum Temple. In addition, we appreciate everyone's emails, calls and text messages these past few days as the support has touched our hearts…The support of the community is what motivates us and you remind us, it is not the place of Dharma that is important, but the practice of Dharma… Derek and I (and now maggie) have been hosting community for almost 3 years and we have no intention of stopping now...this is just a lesson in impermanence and non-attachment, simply testing our dedication to this path...
